This is a collection of my poetry, political observations, and art clips. I will work under the thesis that these things can succesfully be combined.

My Photo
Name:
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States

I've been drawing all my life. One of my earliest memories is of drawing a stickman on my parents staircase wall with a black crayon. I drew cartoons and wrote for the the Onion in its earliest days. I did a couple animated shorts that appeared on MTV. I have worked the same job for 20 years. My wife and 2 cats now tolerate my own Big Time Studio that resides in our compact apartment.

Such Beauty

Such beauty waited upon by the group
Recovering from a drunk:
Mornings in the mind
Channelled from reality
The garish postcards that reveal truth
Brain molecules rearranging themselves
Settling on what this is
Intimations of immortality through serums
Dead country singers and flute solos
The funny monologue I did at that party
In merely cool air the seagull steps with
Quick decisive pomp
We are all waiting, existing, excited by the possibility
Of what we are and we vibrate, vibrate
Inside our shells creating waves, waves
That others see, the mirage we generate around us
Most choosing to believe it, even ourselves
As we vibrate, vibrate:
wants/needs/desires/dreams
All the while we are being in place
Occasionally realizing we just are
Seagulls, seagulls strutting
